Livestock Feeds Plc manufactures and markets animal feeds in Nigeria and is a subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria Plc. The company was established in 1963 by Pfizer as a subsidiary of its pharmaceutical business and describes itself as a pioneer and leading animal feed manufacturer and marketer in Nigeria. It operates two owned plants at Ikeja and Aba with combined production capacity of well over 35 tonnes per hour, plus further operations at Onitsha and Jos. Its feed range serves the livestock sub-sector across poultry, aquaculture, cattle, sheep and goat rearing, piggery and rabbitry. Its distribution network reaches large-scale and smallholder poultry, fish, pig, horse and ruminant farmers nationwide.
The company reported losses in 2022 and 2023 and a notable improvement in the first half of 2024, attributed to cost management, efficiency improvements and supply chain measures. This recovery was sustained into FY2024, with revenue rising to N41.67 billion and a return to profit of N1.93 billion. However, FY2025 revenue declined 9.37% to N37.77 billion, with the company reporting a net loss of N2.99 billion as higher costs and interest expenses weighed on performance. Yes. Compliance drifts as a company borrows, raises cash, or changes its business mix, so a verdict describes a moment rather than a permanent status.
