PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc manufactures and distributes fast-moving consumer goods and consumer electricals in Nigeria, with a history in the country spanning more than 120 years. The company was incorporated on 4 December 1948, became a public company in 1972, and was granted a listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange that same year . It previously operated under the names P.B. Nicholas and Company Limited (1948), Alagbon Industries Limited (1953), Associated Industries Limited (1960), and Paterson Zochonis Industries Limited (1976), before adopting its present name on 21 September 2006 .

The business reports five segments: personal care, beauty, home care, electrical, and food and nutrition. Profit before tax surged 364% to N77.32 billion from N16.66 billion, driven by stronger sales, foreign exchange gains, property sales, and lower finance costs . Non-durable consumer goods accounted for 58.6% of revenue, while electrical appliances accounted for 41.4% . Nigeria accounted for 97.1% of net sales . At group level, the parent company reported revenue of £541 million, up 5.4%, with Nigeria contributing 22% revenue growth .
