What Coronation Insurance does

Coronation Insurance Plc, formerly Wapic Insurance Plc, was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Lagos with operations in Nigeria and Ghana. The company operates two business segments. The General Business segment covers the protection of customers' personal and commercial assets and the indemnification of third parties who suffer damage as a result of customers' accidents, underwriting general accident, fire, motor, engineering, marine, aviation and oil and gas risks. The Life Business segment covers protection against premature death, disability, critical illness and other accidents. For the year ended 31 December 2025 insurance revenue was N74.83 billion, up 51%, with an insurance service result of N10.57 billion, up 93%, profit before tax of N9.65 billion, total equity of N48.49 billion and basic earnings per share of 31 kobo.
