What Fidson Healthcare does

Fidson Healthcare Plc manufactures and distributes pharmaceutical products in Nigeria. The company was incorporated in 1995 and is headquartered in Lagos, with a WHO-compliant manufacturing plant in Ogun State that produces over 120 million bottles of Large Volume Parenterals annually and remains Nigeria's only manufacturer of glass-ampoule injectables. It operates 11 built-for-purpose depots across Nigeria and is actively exploring new African markets, with a workforce of 732 employees as at 31 December 2025.

The company reports three segments: Ethical Products, covering drugs, injectables and infusions sold only on a valid prescription; Over-the-Counter, covering products sold directly to consumers without a prescription; and Consumer Healthcare Products. Its portfolio spans anti-infective and anti-malarial products, central nervous system medicines, cough and cold remedies, gastrointestinal medicines, supplements, topical and dermatological preparations, vitamins and minerals, and ophthalmic solutions.

For 2025, the company recorded revenue of N119.06 billion, becoming the first pharmaceutical company in Nigeria to surpass the N100 billion annual revenue mark. Ethical drugs accounted for N77.8 billion (70.7%), with OTC products contributing N36.37 billion (29.3%). Profit before tax rose 94% to N14.96 billion, and profit after tax surged 125% to N9.88 billion. The company proposed a dividend of N3.6 billion, translating to N1.50 per share. The company has partnered with the International Finance Corporation to expand Nigeria's pharmaceutical production capacity, and is actively working toward becoming the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sub-Saharan Africa.
