What Ellah Lakes does

Ellah Lakes Plc is an indigenous Nigerian agribusiness listed on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange. Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Benin, Edo State, the company was originally incorporated as a fish-farming enterprise but pivoted in 2019 to become a vertically integrated agribusiness centred on oil palm and cassava.

Its land holdings include 2,400 hectares for oil palm production in Edo State and 5,000 hectares in Ondo State for cassava, soybean and maize. The company has expanded into piggery farming as an additional revenue stream. It signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Agro-Allied Resources and Processing Nigeria Limited (ARPN), a deal expected to close by December 2026. It also issued a prospectus for an offer for subscription to raise gross proceeds of N235 billion through 18.8 billion ordinary shares at N12.50 per share; however, the offer was unsuccessful and subsequently closed.

For the 12-month period ended July 31, 2025, the company reported revenue of N67.1 million and total assets of N31.05 billion.

Where the revenue comes from

Oil palm and cassava cultivation as the core lines, with soybean, maize and piggery farming as additional activities.
