What Okomu Oil Palm does

The Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc cultivates oil palm and rubber in Edo State and processes both crops. Fresh fruit bunches are milled into crude palm oil for the Nigerian domestic market, while rubber lumps are processed into rubber cake for export to international markets. The company was founded in 1976 and is headquartered in Benin City, Edo State, operating as a subsidiary of Socfinaf S.A. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2026, having grown from a federal initiative into a commercially run business.

Revenue rose 52% to N198.15 billion in 2025, with profit before tax up 69% to N90.65 billion and profit after tax of N57.95 billion. Revenue from palm products alone reached N172.6 billion. Operational yields were 16.68 tonnes per hectare for oil palm and 1.78 tonnes per hectare for rubber.
